Saturday, February 13

A group of OPIE students had a joyful potluck party with the Athens Village, which is a group of Athens’ senior citizens, from 1 to 3 p.m. About 15 internationals students, representing 5 different nationalities, had the opportunity to share not only their food with a group of American senior citizens but also to learn more about the local culture. Miss Patty, speaking on behalf of the Athens Village, explained that “The purpose of the Potluck party was to help international students feel more confident within the Athens community.”

Delicious dishes from six different cultures are displayed!

The potluck was also a nice gourmet experience because foods from six different cultures were on the table. Whether you are interested in learning more about Athens community in a genuine way or discovering other international foods, I strongly recommend, not missing the next Potluck Party. This one was NICE and we had FUN!!!
